NCT 127 proves “God of Performance” with 50,000 audiences
NCT 127, the “God of Performance,” took over Gocheok Dome with explosive momentum
On January 18 and 19, NCT 127‘s 4TH TOUR ‘NEO CITY THE MOMENTUM‘ was held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul and was sold out.
Both performances were also livestreamed on global platforms Beyond LIVE and Weverse, bringing together approximately 50,000 people online and offline, demonstrating the power and stature of NCT 127.
From the first section, which consisted of “Gas,” “Faster,” “Bring The Noize,” and “2 baddies,” NCT 127 demonstrated their explosive momentum and ambition to live up to the title of the concert, “THE MOMENTUM,” with magnificent production and intense performance.
The overwhelming production and stage that filled the dome, the narrative that organically connected the VCRs, and the momentum of the members who never tired for a moment were reminiscent of a blockbuster movie, and the Gocheok Dome was filled with cheers and shouts.
In particular, ‘Far’, which took over the venue with a large army of dancers and flag performance, and ‘Kick it’, ‘Fact Check’, and ‘Walk’, which were electrifying with their non-stop high-demanding choreography and excellent live performances, culminated in a crowd that seemed to be leaving Gocheokdome, showing once again why NCT 127 is called ‘the god of performance’.
In addition, “Skyscraper,” which featured a 16-meter-long slope lift performance that moved like a joint, “Chain,” which created a chain like the song’s title with a spectacular laser show, “Rain Drop,” which used lights to repel rainwater like a scene from a musical, “영화처럼,” which impressed with its retro production of a circular shamak in mid-air, and “Gold Dust,” which embroidered the Milky Way on the ceiling, were all stages of epic proportions that never failed to impress.
In addition, the VCR, which depicted the story of NCT 127’s rebirth as a stronger one-man team through hardships, was filmed in Cinemascope ratio to enhance the immersive experience of a real movie, and was supported by a giant 90-meter-wide and 15-meter-long LED screen and 110 lasers, the largest in the history of Gocheokdome, Six lifts to create a pyramid shape, two 10-meter-wide and 2-meter-tall slope lifts installed on the left and right sides, conveyor belts, moving cars, gunpowder, fire pillars, confetti, and screen productions that amplify the charm of each song, as well as unique music and performances, created an unprecedented masterpiece.
The audience, which was packed to the brim, not only lit up the Gocheokdome with fanlights, creating a spectacular display of waves of pearl neo champagne (NCT’s official symbol color), but also showed perfect synchronization with NCT 127 with their shouts and chants at every moment.
They expressed their deep affection for the members through slogan events with phrases such as “Let the story of NCT127 and NCTzen never end,” “I want to believe in NCT127 and NCTzen who taught me eternity,” “Let’s find out the meaning of the word I love you,” and “TOUCH” 떼창 events (Singers and audience sing the chorus together at concerts and live performances).
At the end of their performance, NCT 127 said, “We put more effort into every moment of preparation with the mindset that we wouldn’t do a bad stage. Every time I see the members on stage, I’m so proud of them, and I always feel great pride.” ”I will always remember the shouts of NCTzen that filled the Gocheokdome, and thank you for making us feel loved. We will continue to move forward as NCT 127, and we hope you will join us on our journey for a long time to come.”
After the successful Seoul concert, NCT 127 will embark on their fourth world tour, traveling to 14 cities around the world.
