“Double Platinum” certification in the Japan Record Association’s October Gold Disc rankings announced.

The Japan Record Association announces Gold Disc certifications monthly, awarding “Double Platinum” to works with cumulative net shipments exceeding 500,000 copies.
Previously, &TEAM earned Gold Disc “Platinum” certification for their debut EP “First Howling : ME,” 2nd EP “First Howling : WE,” and their 1st album “First Howling : NOW.” They also achieved “Double Platinum” for their 1st single “Samidare,” and 2nd single “Aoarashi,” their 2nd album “Yukiakari,” and earned their first-ever ‘Million’ certification for their 3rd single “Go in Blind (Moon Wolf).”
Their Korean debut mini-album “Back to Life” also achieved record-breaking first-week sales, surpassing 700,000 copies based on SoundScan standards. This Double Platinum certification not only proves their enduring popularity in Japan but also demonstrates a hit phenomenon transcending the boundaries between J-POP and K-POP.
&TEAM achieved their Korean debut as a new step toward realizing “Japan to Global.” Through Korean activities, including appearances on music shows where they achieved triple crowns and numerous variety programs, they have established their presence within the globally expanding K-POP fandom. Following this release, their global listeners on streaming services doubled. Furthermore, the title track “Back to Life” recorded approximately 2.4 times more listeners on Spotify and 3.8 times more on Apple Music in the US compared to their previous title track “Go in Blind (Moon Wolf)”. With US business media Forbes reporting them as “one of the most talked-about groups right now,” this Korean debut represents a major stride toward achieving their “Japan to Global” goal.
They have proven immense popularity, particularly in Japan, with their 3rd single “Go in Blind (Moon Wolf)” released on April 23, 2025, surpassing total shipments of 1 million copies and earning their first “Million Certification” in the July Gold Disc Awards. Furthermore, their Korean debut work, the Korean 1st mini-album “Back to Life,” achieved a million sales on its first day of release according to the Korean HANTEO Chart standards, selling a total of 1,222,022 copies within its first week (October 28th to November 3rd).
This achievement makes &TEAM the first Japanese artist to reach million sales in both Japan and Korea, propelling them into the top tier of groups. Expectations are high for &TEAM’s future as they take significant strides toward realizing their “Japan to Global” goal.
