NCT’s Jaemin donates 100 million won in the name of his fandom
The UNICEF Korea Committee announced on December 24 that NCT’s Jaemin donated 100 million won (about 69,000 USD) to support children around the world in the name of his fandom, NCTzen DREAM.
The fund was raised with the proceeds from the sale of framed photographs that NCTzen DREAM raised at NCT’s first solo photo exhibition, “NARCISSISM- JAEMIN 1st EXHIBITION,” in June.
Previously, in 2018, JAEMIN traveled to Hanoi and Con Thum province in Vietnam with the UNICEF Korea Committee to support music education for underprivileged children.
SM Entertainment has been supporting music education programs for underprivileged children in Vietnam and the Philippines for 10 years through a social contribution agreement with the UNICEF Korea Committee since 2015.
The funds, which were donated in the name of NCT DREAM’s fandom NCTzen DREAM, will be used to help children around the world who are experiencing a difficult winter due to war and natural disasters.
“I wanted to do something meaningful with our fans to repay them for their precious love, and I hope that our donation will help all children have a warmer holiday season,” said Jaemin.
“We are very grateful to Jaemin and his fans for sending special gifts to children for the holidays,” said Mi-Jin Cho, Executive Director of UNICEF Korea. “We will use the funds to help children around the world who are facing a harsh winter due to war, disaster, and poverty.”
