SEVENTEEN’s special unit BSS (부석순) won the OST award.

BSS, consisting of members SEUNGKWAN, DK, and HOSHI, won the OST award in the K-drama category at the Seoul Drama Awards 2024, held on September 25, for their song The Reasons of My Smiles from the cable channel tvN drama “Queen of Tears.” They were selected as the winners through votes from fans around the world, demonstrating their high global popularity.

On stage, BSS said, “As a fan who loves dramas and movies, We always get a lot of energy from talking with the members about new releases. We are grateful to all the people involved in the production of movies and dramas and to the actors and actresses.” They continued, “We will become singers who can make a good impact, and vowed to work hard in the future.”

Released on March 10, “The Reasons of My Smiles” captures the moment when Baek Hyunwoo (played by Kim Soohyun) and Hong Haein (played by Kim Jiwon) rekindle their love. The gentle piano melody in the introduction is accompanied by soft humming, giving listeners a tickling feeling of excitement.

BSS likened it to the song’s title “자꾸만 웃게 돼” and commented, “Carat (SEVENTEEN’s fan name) makes us smile more and more 😊.

They released their first digital single, “거침없이,” in March 2018, and it quickly rose to the top of the charts on major Korean music sites, exuding their signature positive energy. Their February release “파이팅 해야지 (feat. Lee Youngji)” won eight music broadcasting awards and was selected as the Team Korea anthem for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

SEVENTEEN will release their 12th mini album ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ on October 14 at 6 p.m. KST. The album will showcase the evolved side of the group with the message, “Let’s trust each other, share our feelings, and solve our problems together.” In addition to the comeback, the members will hold the ‘SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR’ on October 12-13, starting at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium.
