NCT’s Ten began his solo career with various charms
that cannot be defined in one word.

At 2:00 p.m. today (13th), a showcase was held at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of Ten’s first solo mini album “TEN”.

He has been active in NCT and WayV, and has shown his various charms through his singles, but now he has transformed into a solo musician with his mini album “TEN,” titled after his own name. ten, who has been preparing for the album in earnest for a year, said, “I have been waiting for this moment for a long time, and I am very excited to release my first solo album “TEN,” which will be released in the spring. I was nervous and there was a lot of pressure while preparing,” he said, “but I had a lot of fun while preparing each step, recording and shooting the music video. I also enjoyed the process of consulting with the people at the office. There are various genres. I want to show that Ten has various charms and talents,” he said.

Regarding the difference between group activities and solo activities, he said, “If I had to worry about how to interpret songs and how to match them with myself during group activities, this solo activity was an opportunity for me to try to find ‘Ten’ because I was not sure what I wanted to do or who I was. “I decided to try to find the ‘ten,'” he explained.en, who says he always tries his best, although he remains disappointed in himself, told us that the hardest part of the preparation process for this album was deciding on the concept. He said, “I talked a lot about fashion with the office staff over the course of a year. I released three singles and they were all gorgeous,” he said, “I decided on the concept so that first you could see Ten and then the clothes.

The title track “Nightwalker” is a pop-dance song with a rhythmic and addictive beat, strange atmospheric bass, and guitar riffs. The lyrics express how he is attracted to a being he cannot refuse. He said, “I wanted to show the various forms of Ten. I thought about what kind of song would fit the concept, and I thought ‘Nightwalker’ would fit the theme of the album well,” he said, explaining why he chose the title track.

The album also includes a total of six other songs with English lyrics, including “ON TEN,” “Dangerous,” “Water,” “Shadow,” and “Lie With You.

In the process of preparing the album, Ten received a lot of support from members Taecyeon, who made his solo debut earlier, SHINee’s Taemin, and Yunho of Dong Bang Shin Ki. He revealed that he hopes to show his various charms through this album. Ten said, “Many people have told me that I am an all-rounder, and I am doing my best. I think my strength is that I can sing, dance, rap, and do all genres,” he said. “When I first dreamed of becoming a K-pop artist, I was a child who knew nothing, but now I feel like I have grown up and become more profound,” he said.

He continued, “I am still searching for Ten. I think the next one will be another Ten. I don’t want to decide what form I will appear in yet,” he said, revealing his plans for solo activities.

In conjunction with the release of his debut solo album, Ten will hold his first Asian tour of fan concerts in four regions, including Seoul on February 16-17, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Jakarta. Ten said, “I prepared all the songs on the album. The songs are diverse, so you can see various genres of dance on stage. There are Latin dances to classical dances. You can also see rock music on stage,” he said.

Ten’s first solo mini album “TEN” will be released on February 13 at 6 p.m. through music distribution sites.
