KOREA WAVE – “Who” by Jimin of the Korean group BTS (Bulletproof Youth Team) has received a “Gold” certification in the streaming category from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

“Who” is the title track from Jimin’s second solo album “MUSE”. In February of this year, the cumulative number of views exceeded 50 million, clearing the requirements for “Gold” certification. This is the first time Jimin has received this certification for streaming a solo song.

Every month, the Recording Industry Association of Japan announces “Gold (over 50 million views),” “Platinum (over 100 million views),” and “Diamond (over 500 million views)” certifications based on the number of streaming plays.

Jimin has so far received “Platinum” certification for his first solo album “FACE” with over 250,000 copies shipped and “Gold” certification for “MUSE” with over 100,000 copies shipped.
