There is a roar from the venue

The 2023 MAMA AWARDS, one of Korea’s largest K-POP awards ceremonies, opened on the 28th at Tokyo Dome, where X JAPAN’s leader YOSHIKI performed a collaborative stage with young Korean artists.

YOSHIKI, who received the “Favorite International Artist” award, performed X JAPAN’s classic “ENDLESS RAIN” with TAEHYUN and HUENINGKAI of TOMORROW X TOGETHER, JAEHYUN of BOYNEXTDOOR, ANTON of RIIZE and HAN YU JIN of ZEROBASEONE.

When YOSHIKI played the piano, the venue became a solemn atmosphere. When TAEHYUN started singing, the audience cheered loudly. HUENINGKAI looked at YOSHIKI and sang with emotion.

JAEHYUN added a different color to the rap than the original song. When ANTON playing the cello was shown close-up on the monitor, the venue erupted into roars of cheers. HAN YU JIN added color with her graceful dance.

After receiving the trophy after the performance, YOSHIKI said with deep emotion, “I feel honored to be able to perform with such an amazing K-Pop artist.” He expressed his gratitude, saying, “I believe that I was able to receive this award because of everyone’s support.”

The event will be held at Tokyo Dome over two days on the 28th and 29th. The hosts will be Park Bo Gum and Jeon So Mi, just like last year. This year’s concept is ”ONE I BORN”. It symbolizes the meeting of “I” and “MAMA”, who are only one person, and through positive energy they become a perfect one. The red carpet will begin at 4 p.m., and the awards ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. It will be broadcast live around the world not only on Mnet but also on the YouTube channel “Mnet K-POP,” Mnet TV, KCON official, and M2.
