Stray Kids makes Billboard history
The Stray Kids have made history. According to DISPATCH, in Stray Kids’ first two years on the Billboard charts, they’ve had six albums reach the top.
Stray Kids released their skizzy hip-hop tape “HOP” on the 13th. The new album debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 (28th).
It is the sixth No. 1 record in their career. This is the sixth consecutive album to top the Billboard 200. This is the first time this has been accomplished after debuting on the chart.
They surpassed American rapper DMX. From “Ordinary” to “Maxident,” “Five Star,” “Rockstar,” “Eight,” and “Sum,” the group has achieved unprecedented records.
Billboard, Forbes, and Rolling Stone called it “a chart-breaker” and “the first in Billboard’s 69-year history to shatter the glass ceiling.”
They have been steadily building a unique musical world. Starting with their pre-debut album, “Mixtape,” and their full debut album, “I Am Not,” they have been leading the entire album.
The new album is also credited to the group’s production team, ThreeRacha (Bangchan, Changbin, and Han), as well as Lino, Hyunjin, Phyllix, Seungmin, and Aien. Each revealed their individuality.
Meanwhile, STRAY KIDS will continue their world tour “dominATE”. It will consist of 48 shows in 32 locations around the world.
