JAPAN

Takanori Iwata of J SOUL BROTHERS 3rd Generation conducted a project “Takanori Iwata, 3rd Generation, takes on the challenge of creating live artwork and auctioning off works by top painters” in NTV’s “24 Hours TV47”. A “Dream Galaxy Express 999” was unveiled, featuring seven works, including three created by Iwata.

In this project, a total of seven works will be auctioned along with works by very popular manga artists, character designers, and popular artists discovered by Akashiya Sanma, and all proceeds from the auction will be donated for the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula.
Iwata, who has a studio at home and has a talent for painting that is recognized by professional art dealers, created three pieces of artwork.
Two of the three pieces were completed during the program’s broadcast.
The three pieces of artwork, which depict the members of J SOUL BROTHERS III as animals, together with the works of other participating artists, became a train of hope on the “Galaxy Express 999” displayed at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
It took 22 hours to complete the dream train, and Iwata was very touched, saying, “I’m glad I made it in time.
Then, J SOUL BROTHERS III performed “Galaxy Express 999” live. The performance was a great hit on the Kokugikan stage.
