Actor Keita Machida has teamed up with
South Korea’s HB Entertainment.

On August 5, HB Entertainment announced, “We have signed an exclusive contract with Keita Machida, who is hugely popular in Japan, for activities in South Korea. With this contract, we plan to systematically promote his activities in South Korea and globally.” They added, “Based on his wide-ranging acting skills and diverse charms, we will fully support his activities on the global stage.”

HB Entertainment is home to actress Hyun Ri, who is also Keita Machida’s wife. Other notable talents under the agency include Kim Yoon-seok, Lee Song-min, Joo Jin-mo, An Jae-hyun, Cho Byung-gyu, Joo Sang-wook, and Cha Ye-ryung.

Keita Machida announced his marriage to Hyunri in 2022. According to reports at the time, the two first met in 2017 while filming the movie “The End of the Line.” About a year later, they reunited on the NHK drama “A Girl’s Life” and began dating seriously.

He is a member of the theater company EXILE and has appeared in the movie series “HiGH & LOW” and the drama “If You Don’t Lose Your Virginity by Age 30, You’ll Become a Wizard.”

Hyunri is a Korean-born actress based in Tokyo, who works between Japan and Korea. She has appeared in films such as “Chance and Imagination” directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi and the Apple TV+ original series “Pachinko.”
