Pump !t Up!!! JYP Entertainment’s Chinese boy group

BOY STORY has released a new album.

BOY STORY released their 4th mini-album “UP” and the title track “Pump !t Up” at 1 p.m. on the 12th.
The music video for the title track featured a cameo appearance by J.Y. Park, the head producer of JYP, who discovered and produced the group directly.

The new album contains a total of five songs, including the title track “Pump !t Up,” “Intro:A+10t!on Up,” “Sunr!se,” and an English and instrumental version of the title track. BOY STORY incorporates the ‘i’ which means ‘I’ upside-down ‘!’, is included here and there in the album, and it gives the world an imposing aspiration to look at the world with new eyes and a sense of outlandish fun.

The title track “Pump !t Up” is a hip-hop dance genre song. The six members of BOY STORY sing a powerful message of “Enjoy life in a positive way, constantly challenge yourself, believe in yourself and move forward”.

They have successfully completed eight regional showcase tours since February, from Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Tianjin. The tour proved the group’s popularity on a larger scale than the showcase tour held in July 2023 to celebrate the release of its second mini-album, “Z.I.P.” which took place in six different regions.

In March of this year, the Korean version of the title track “Alpha” was released for the first time since its debut, and it also appeared on a Korean music program.

Riding the momentum of the event, the group performed at the “I Love You Indonesia 2024” omnibus concert held at the Beach City International Stadium in Jakarta in May, where they gave a strong stage performance. In June, he released “Gummy Candy Love,” a collaboration with renowned Malaysian artist Gaston Pong, which became popular in various regions.

BOY STORY is a boy group affiliated with Shinsei Entertainment, established by JYP CHINA, the Chinese subsidiary of JYP Entertainment, and TME (TENCENT MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT GROUP of China), and all members are Chinese. The first group to apply JYP Entertainment’s “Globalization by Localization” globalization strategy, the group has been active and influential since their debut, winning various awards.
