Pledis Entertainment announced on the 18th, “Jun will star in the Chinese drama ‘云归喜事’ as Wen Liangchen. Filming began on the 15th of this month.”

The drama is a fantasy comedy period drama. It is based on the Chinese web novel “Tang Dynasty Tour”. It is a story about overcoming difficulties to pursue justice and find love.

It is the second installment of the drama series of the same name. The first season was released in 2018, and topped the Aichi and Weibo popularity charts.

Jun plays the role of Wen Liangchen. This is his first appearance in the new season. Last year, he brought the excitement of a young adult drama to the web drama “Exclusive Fairytale” (独家童话).

He shared his thoughts on taking on the challenge of a period drama. Jun said, “I will play the character with the desire to do well as my driving force. I will try my best,” he vowed.

He is a former Chinese child actor. He starred in the 2006 movie “The Pye Dog”. He became the first child actor to be nominated for the 27th Hong Kong Film Gold Award for Best New Actor.

He has been acting alongside his team activities. Last year, he won the popularity trophy at the ASEAN Content Awards & Global OTT Awards at the Busan International Film Festival for “Exclusive Fairytale”.
