Stray Kids Felix Volunteers in Laos While on Vacation…
Words of Wisdom Make a Splash

Felix of Stray Kids continues to send out his good influence.

July 7, photos of Felix taken in Laos were posted online. In the published photo, he is wearing a UNICEF T-shirt and visiting Laos.

It was confirmed that Felix left for Laos to do volunteer work. He is known to have decided to take advantage of the vacation period to quietly do volunteer work, as he has a hard daily schedule as a popular global artist.

In doing so, he has put into practice his wish to help as many people as possible who need help. Felix also revealed in a recently released Stray Kids self-produced content that he would like to volunteer abroad when he can spare the time.

This is not the first time he has done good deeds. On January 4 of this year, he donated 100 million won (approximately 10.97 million yen) through the UNICEF Korea Committee. With this donation, Felix became the youngest member of the UNICEF HONORS CLUB in history and the first member in 2024.

The 100 million won fund he donated was used to support children in Laos, who are suffering from various difficulties due to poor water, sanitation, and nutrition. Laos is one of the countries with poor water sanitation and nutritional conditions, with only 18% of the total population having access to safe drinking water and 33% of infants under 5 years old being stunted.

Felix said through the UNICEF Korea Committee, “I decided to participate in this donation because I wanted to share the love I received (from my fans). I hope that the children of Laos, who are suffering from various difficulties due to contaminated water, sanitation, and malnutrition, will grow up healthy in a safer environment in the New Year,” he said.

Ms. Cho Mi-jin, Secretary General of UNICEF Korea Committee, said, “We consider it more meaningful that Ms. Felix’s good influence, loved by people all over the world, can be conveyed to children all over the world through UNICEF. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Felix for his warm sharing of his gift of great hope and courage to the children of Laos as they welcome the New Year,” he revealed.

Stray Kids, of which Felix is a member, started off at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the main album chart of Billboard in the U.S., with their mini-album “ODDINARY” in March 2022, followed by “MAXIDENT” in October 2022, a full-length album in June 2023, and a mini-album “樂-STAR” in November. The group has since achieved the feat of having four consecutive albums reach No. 1 on the chart, including “MAXIDENT” in October 2022, the full album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” in June 2023, and the mini-album “樂-STAR “in November 2023.

Stray Kids was also nominated for the “Group or Duo of the Year” category at the People’s Choice Awards to be held on February 18. They have also been nominated in the “K-Pop Artist Of The Year” and “K-Pop Song Of The Year” categories for the “2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards” to be held on April 1. K-Pop Artist Of The Year” and “K-Pop Song Of The Year”.
