“I was very anxious because it was my first production, so I  started practicing and prepared so hard “

ASTRO‘s JINJIN successfully completed his first musical “Dream High.” He completed his two-month journey in the musical “Dream High” with a performance on July 22.

“Dream High” is a show musical based on the popular drama that aired on KBS 2TV in 2011, and tells the story of the main characters of the drama 10 years later.

In the play, JINJIN led the entire performance as Jason, an expatriate dancer who entered Kirin Arts High School at the top of his class with outstanding talent and is now a choreographer and dance artist. He perfectly portrayed Jason in his own color, which added to the overall atmosphere, and showed his irreplaceable presence on stage.

His acting and performance were so consistent that it was hard to believe that this was his first musical, and he left a strong impression as a musical actor, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.

After the last performance, JINJIN said, “This is my first musical production and I have been working with good seniors and friends, so I am sad that it is over. I was very anxious because it was my first production, so I started practicing and prepared so hard that I don’t think I have ever worked so hard. It was a great stimulus for me and I was very happy to be on stage, so I am even more grateful for this production.”

He continued, “I was grateful for the many AROHA (ASTRO fans) who came to see the show and gave me lots of support, and I was very happy on stage during the performance. I was happy to start a new challenge with “Dream High” with its hopeful message. I will do my best to show you a good performance as I work in various fields from now on. Thank you very much.”

ASTRO’s leader and main rapper, JINJIN, has also taken his first step as a musical actor through “Dream High”. With this, JINJIN’s versatile activities in various fields are expected to continue.
