Takumi Kawanishi plays a man who loves music

and who wants a “simple and perfect” life.

Takumi Kawanishi of the global boy group JO1 has decided to star in a movie for the first time in a live-action version of Jun Mutsuki’s manga “Buzzy Noise“, which has been a hot topic as a new music manga. Kawanishi commented, “I’m in acclaimed rehearsals” for the shooting scheduled for about a month this summer. The movie is scheduled to be released in early summer next year.

JO1 has decided to hold an Asia tour this year. In addition, Kawanishi has expanded his range of activities, such as appearing in the TV drama ” Play It Cool, Guys” alone. Among them, he has decided to star in a movie for the first time.

He says “Ever since I read the original, I felt that Kiyosumi has a similarity to me, and I wanted to try it if I could, so I’m very honored to be able to participate in this work.”

The original work, which is Mutsuki’s feature debut, was serialized in “Weekly Big Comic Spirits” (Shogakukan) until 2020. The realistic psychological depiction of the characters, the unique musical expression and timely theme that seems to jump over the page with DTM (desktop music) as the theme, gathered hot support and sympathy mainly on SNS.

Kiyosumi, played by Kawanishi, lives alone while working as an apartment manager. He lives a simple life, creating music on his computer, the only thing he likes to do, and performing alone. Then, after an encounter with Ushio, who is a woman lives in a room on the upper floor, intense noise begins to flow into his closed world. Expectations are high for how Kawanishi will portray Kiyosumi, who continues to have a quiet conflict.
