PERSES releases “อย่าฝืน (Over),” a tear-jerking love song at the end of the year.
“Please don’t force it, if we can’t go on together.
Let’s end it here, it’s better than swallowing it, right?
If I have to cry, let the tears flow.
I don’t know why I have to force it, if in the end I have to go anyway..”
The heartbreaking hook from the song “อย่าฝืน (Over)”, a heartbreaking love song, the second single from the album ALTERLAND by PERSES from the G’NEST label, tells the story of a love that has reached a dead end when two people force themselves to stay in a relationship that they know will eventually end in a breakup. Three Man Down wrote the lyrics and melody, conveying the pain through pop rock music, combined with PERSES’s singing voice that conveys the emotions of the song, reaching the listeners’ emotions. It can be said that it makes them feel so involved that they cry along with each other.
For the MV of the song, NAY, a rapper from PERSES, plays the role of the hero, a young man who travels back in time to fix his past mistakes with his lover (played by Jane Ramida). No matter how many times he tries to fix it, in the end he has to face the question of whether he should force himself to move on or accept the painful truth.
For NAY, this role is another challenge, especially in the scene where he has to convey feelings of pressure, confusion, and heartbreak, which is an emotional scene where NAY has to cry for real in order to convey the feelings of the song to the audience. And another special thing about this MV is the use of visual techniques. In the group singing scene, Pluggy has to sing the song backwards, arranging the words from back to front, before reversing the image to show the story of going back in time and the realism in conveying the emotions of this song. The beautiful cinematographer, Jeen Prach Rojanasinwilai, created an atmosphere that immerses even more.
“อย่าฝืน (Over)” is another work that reflects the reality of love from a more mature perspective, and the content of this song may be relevant to many people’s lives. Watch the MV for “อย่าฝืน (Over)” on Youtube:
