They said this comeback is a big challenge
After the release of their latest single, “Far Too Close,” in February of this year, they took a few months off without releasing any new music, but the five members admitted that this extended break came from their desire to still practice and improve their skills.
They returned with the release of their new single “BODYGUARD” and album “ALTERLAND” and spoke at length about what it is like to be an idol. What aspects of themselves do they think still need to be developed? And they admit that this return has been the most difficult, stressful, and challenging thing they have ever done as idols.
GQ: What do you consider to be the appeal of PERSES?
■Krittin: For me it is the chaotic picture. This group seems to have a different energy. But when they are together, you can sense the harmony and fun that is created, like in “Inside Head.” Each person is a different character with a different personality, but together they come together.
■Nay: I don’t think it’s boring either. It’s because each person has a different style. Fans can choose to go with whomever suits their taste. Or if you want to change the style of the band, there are people with different styles.
■Jung: Another strength is that even though we are very different, for example, when we perform, we have different dance lines. But when we stick together we move forward as a good team.
■Palm: One of the things we do well is communication. No one blocks us, so we are always close to each other.
■Pluggy: Another thing I feel is our strength is that we are cool (laughs).
GQ: What do you expect from this comeback?
■Pluggy: The single “BODYGUARD” is just a song that I hope everyone will like. Personally, this is my favorite song. As for the album, there are many more songs to come. It is a very exciting album. I hope everyone will follow the other songs.
■Nay: I want people to enjoy the whole work and be happy. I hope everyone who goes to see the show or our music videos will be happy, enjoy, and be amazed by our performance.
■Pluggy:One more thing, when we come back this time, we are planning to sell a physical album, so we want everyone to support us a lot.
