SixTONES' 3rd consecutive album No. 1, marking a new personal best first-week sales record

Six-member male group SixTONES’ third album “Voice” sold 517,000 copies in its first week and ranked No. 1 in the latest Oricon Weekly Album Ranking released on January 10. It became the first album by SixTONES to surpass 500,000 copies sold in its first week.

The first-week sales of 517,000 copies marked a new personal best first-week sales record, surpassing the first-week sales of 470,000 copies for the previous album “CITY” (dated 1/17/2022), which was released in January 2022. It was also the third consecutive album from the first album to reach No. 1, and the third album in total. It has been one year and five months since King & Prince’s “Re:Sense” (August 2, 2021) became the third consecutive album from the first album to exceed 300,000 copies sold in the first week. This is the fourth male artist in history to achieve this feat [*1].

This work includes “Resonance”, the opening theme song for the TV anime “Hanyou no Yashahime” Chapter 2(Yomiuri TV and NTV), which was No.1 [*2] in the “Oricon Weekly Single Ranking” for the first time respectively, “Watashi”, the insert song for the drama “Koi nante, honki de yatte dousuruno? (Fuji TV), “Good Luck!”, the theme song for the drama “Hajimete wa Pa” (TV Asahi) starring Jessie, and “Futari”, the theme song for the drama “Tukanoma no ichika” (Nippon TV) starring Taiga Kyomoto.

SixTONES is scheduled to begin a live tour, “Inori Shoute no Houhou,” on January 4, 2023, the release date of “Koe,” which will run through April, including a performance at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
