FANTIME ~5th Anniversary! All Together~

FANTASTICS held a fan club event “FANTIME ~5th Anniversary! All Together~” was held today, December 5, the anniversary of their debut, at the Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall in Kanagawa, Japan.

FANTASTICS made their major debut on December 5, 2018 with the single “OVER DRIVE,” and in addition to their activities as a group, each member is also active in a wide range of movies, TV dramas, and variety shows. FANTIME” is an event in which they look back on the past year, and while the past four events have been held online, this year for the first time the event will be held in front of an audience. The members gave light-hearted talks and also performed live with a set list based on the results of the request poll.

Pacifico Yokohama, the venue for this event, is a memorable place that was also the venue for the final show of FANTASTICS’ first hall tour in 2019. Before the show, Daiki Sato and Yuki Yagi, representing the members, were interviewed by the press, and looking back on their debut when they were on tour with EXILE, Sato said, “When I look back on it now, I think, ‘I was outnumbered by the venue. But I tried to make the stage I was standing on look smaller, so that I would want to see the next stage more, and I was able to improve my ability to express myself,” he said. When asked what FANTASTICS has grown over the past five years, Sato said, “It’s the power of each individual to do their part and create something together. Yagi, on the other hand, said, “What I am glad has not changed is the atmosphere among the members. If we respect each other, I think we can stay the same,” he said, appealing to the strong bond between the members.

FANTASTICS had planned to hold their first arena tour in 2020, but it was cancelled due to the Corona disaster, and they will fulfill their wish with the “FANTASTICS LIVE TOUR 2024 “INTERSTELLATIC FANTASTIC”” starting next February. When the tour was discussed, Sato said, “It was my long-cherished wish. I want to make it a success for sure.” Yagi added, “I am also very enthusiastic. I want to experience the atmosphere that can only be experienced at that time, and I want to put everything I have into the time with you all.

At the beginning of the event, FANTASTICS appeared on stage and performed “STARBOYS,” the lead song from their 3rd album “FANTASTIC ROCKET” released on that day, wearing the same costumes as in the music video. The excitement of the audience soared with the elongated performance. In the talk corner, the members looked back on the year 2023, their 5th anniversary year. In the ranking of “FANTASTIC 10 major (important) news,” various incidents, large and small, from their spectacular activities as a group to their own small stories, were introduced with secret videos, which drew loud laughter from the audience many times.

After the talk, a video clip showed the start of a collaboration project between FANTASTICS and Gogo Curry, and the announcement that Reiya Seguchi’s first photo book would be published on his birthday, March 11, by Kodansha, surprising the FANTARO (a term used by FANTASTICS fans). It was also announced that Yagi would appear in the Fuji Television drama “Konkatsu 1000bonnokkou” and Nakajima in the Tokai Television drama “Osan no pantsu ga nandatteiijanaika! The dramas in which they will appear will start airing in January.

After Yagi, Nakajima, and Seguchi expressed their enthusiasm for their individual activities, it was time for the live performance. Here, the 10 top-ranked songs from the fan poll were performed in order, and before each song was performed, Takanori Nishikawa, Toshihisa Hagiwara, Seiji Kameda, SOTA, RYOKI, MANATO (BE:FIRST), Junki Kono, Ruhi Shiraiwa, and Keigo Sato (JO1), GENERATIONS, Ryuji Imaichi (J SOUL BROTHERS III), EXILE TETSUYA (EXILE, EXILE THE SECOND), and other gorgeous guests who are closely related to FANTASTICS and each member surprised the members by showing their messages.

The first place went to “It’s all good”, the theme song of TV Asahi drama “around 1/4” in which Sato played the leading role, included in the album “FANTASTIC ROCKET” released today. It is a song that the members are deeply attached to, and it was the closing song of the memorable 5th anniversary event.
